About Forensic Building Science
Forensic Building Science, Inc (FBS), was established in 2004 in response to the high number of homes with
water infiltration and structural defects. Our company has investigated over 1500 homes damaged by hurricanes,
tornados, fire, ice dams, pipe bursts, partial collapse, and water intrusion in the following states: Alabama,
Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, and
Wisconsin.  Many of these homes were still within their statutory warranty period.

FBS has been called on numerous times to help support building owner's who have experienced a loss which
resulted in a dispute with either their builder, remodeling contractor or an insurance company.  Our experience
helps your Public Adjusters or Attorney document and support the full scope of the loss and better prepare a
claim to the insurance companies or your builder/remodeling contractor.

FBS offers comprehensive inspections of foundations, floor, wall, and roof assembles, windows and doors, indoor
air quality sampling.  Our staff includes, Building Code Specialists, Professional  Engineers,  Experienced
Project Managers and Field Technicians with a wide variety of construction, inspection and testing experience.  
We also work in coordination with hygienists, attorneys, public adjusters and contractors to give you the best
possible service.
